Abstract:   (4 Views)
In recent years, the use of energy production and conversion systems with maximum efficiency to save valuable energy resources has become more important day by day. In the power generation sector, gas power plants and then combined power plants with the production of a major share of the country's power are of considerable importance among the power generation plants and use a very large percentage of the country's energy resources to produce electricity, hence the investigation and analysis This industry can play an important role in the economy of countries in order to analyze energy and provide solutions to reduce fuel consumption. In the current research, the energy and exergy analysis of two-stage compression and expansion gas turbine power plants with air preheater and combined cycle has been discussed. Then, the effect of different thermodynamic parameters on the efficiency of the first and second laws of thermodynamics and the rate of destruction and production power of power plants are presented. The results of this research showed that the use of air preheater significantly increases the efficiency of the gas turbine cycle. Also, for the number of compression and expansion stages equal to 4, the best performance for the gas turbine cycle is achieved. From the exergy analysis of the combined cycle, it was found that the energy efficiency and exergy of the whole cycle are equal to 54% and 46%, respectively.
