Investigation of failure mode of similar and dissimilar joint of duplex stainless steel bye resistance spot welding in Shear-tensile conditions

The present study investigates the failure resistance welding method of a similar and unmatched connection point in duplex stainless steel under shear stress conditions. In this study, 1Cr21Ni5Ti branded stainless steel duplex was used. Micro-hardness test, tensile test - cutting and optical metallography to describe the macrostructure and microstructure, hardness button welding and weld failure mode study was conducted on connections. A point resistance welding with metallurgical and geometric changes is created. It was finally determined that before the molten outflow, the welding current to increase increasing maximum boiling force and failure energy.
